FAQ
What kind of videos do I get?
Short, snackable clips perfect for reels, TikToks, or LinkedIn. They’re evergreen and can be reused across platforms.
These are not full-scale, corporate productions but quick, engaging videos designed for social media.
What if I'm not used to being on camera?
This was made for you. It’s just a chat—we edit out the weird bits.
What happens on the day?
Once you book, you’ll get an email with a link to our virtual recording studio (we use Squadcast).
💻 Jump into the green room 15–20 minutes early to check your camera, mic, and background.
🎙 I’ll join you at the scheduled time and guide the conversation—nothing scripted, just a relaxed chat.
🕒 We usually record for 30–45 minutes (with buffer time in case we’re on a roll).
⚠️ After we finish, don’t close the Squadcast tab until it tells you to! It needs time to save your high-quality video locally.

My focus is on strategic, authentic video content—without the need for a big, high-end production setup. Right now, I’m only offering sessions online, as this ensures the best experience for my clients.
Can I book a Reel Ready session if I'm not local?
That’s exactly what these are!
While from time to time I’ll do some in-person sessions for my existing clients or as part of a workshop, the majority of Reel Ready are done remotely.
Why?
Well one, it keeps the cost down, but two, it gets you used to chatting away to your own camera, using your own gear, with guidance from me that you can use again and again for later videos.
Do I get direction during filming?
Yes—but it’s relaxed, not rigid. I guide the conversation naturally so you sound like you, not a robot.
If you’re after a fully scripted, teleprompter-style session, with a hair & makeup and styling crew in tow, this probably isn’t the right fit.
Reel Ready is designed to build your confidence on camera so you feel good showing up again and again.
Six video clips wasn't enough! Can I get more?
Often, our chat results in heaps more than just 6 possible video clips.
If that’s the case, after we’re done producing the 6 included in the package, we’ll let you know if there are any potential extras.
Extra clips are $79 each, and will be edited in the same style as the original 6.
Can I choose what we talk about?
Absolutely! When you book, make sure to let me know in the comments section if there’s anything in particular you do (or don’t!) want covered.
Outside of that, prior to our chat I’ll do some research into your business, industry and audience, and have a pretty good idea how to guide the conversation so that we get some awesome content that’ll resonate with your people.
Do we do any preparation beforehand?
Yep—but it’s low pressure.
You’ll get a short prep guide with easy tips to check your tech, lighting, and setup.
Before the session, I also research your biz so I can guide the chat in a way that feels natural and strategic.
You’ll get example questions too, but nothing is scripted—just a relaxed convo that turns into scroll-stopping video.
I'm still feeling nervous, can we have a chat before the day?
Absolutely. Just head to my booking page.
You can book in a free 15-30 minute chat, or if there’s other things you want to go through, like brainstorming ideas, troubleshooting your tech or anything more thorough, there’s an option for a 1-hour consulting session.
I changed my mind! Are refunds available?
✔️ More than 3 days’ notice?
No worries – reschedule or cancel at no charge.
⚠️ Less than 3 days’ notice?
A 50% cancellation fee applies.
🚫 On the day or after filming?
No refunds are available once the session has taken place.
🔁 Rescheduled 3 times?
Your booking will be cancelled and the 50% cancellation fee will apply.
This protects both your time and mine, and helps keep things fair for everyone.
How long does editing take?
Your clips will usually be ready within 10–12 days after filming.
If there’s a public holiday or unexpected delay, I’ll keep you updated.
Is this the same as hiring a Videographer?
No.
Reel Ready isn’t about outsourcing everything and walking away with a polished corporate video. It’s about helping you get confident creating great video content with the gear you already have.
Traditional videographers focus on scripted content, lighting setups, and high-end gear—great for ads or big promos.
Reel Ready is different. It’s a casual, guided conversation designed to create short, authentic clips for social media.
Think of it as your springboard. We record together, I handle the editing, and you walk away with six ready-to-post videos and the skills and setup to keep going on your own.
It’s not meant to be perfect. It’s meant to be possible—without spending thousands.
